 Oakley Rose Shumate was born January 11, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital and passed away January 22, 2016 at Children’s Hospital.  She is the daughter of Alex Shumate and Mickenzie Carlyon. She is the granddaughter of Melinda and Steve Bales, Karen and Ron Shumate, Mick Carlyon and Jackie DeClue. The great-granddaughter of Dave and Elaine Wood, Paul and Dianna Carlyon, Lorene Crepps and Paul and Donna Warden.  The great-great granddaughter of Mary Lee Mounce. The niece of, Jeremiah and Kaylee Shumate, Chase, Macy and Morgan Carlyon, Brenda Schuler, Susie Bales, Myndi Westover and Preston DeClue, and is survived by many other aunts, uncles and cousins. .  

She is preceded  in death by great-grandparents Bob Crepps and Clarence & Esther Shumate.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.  Funeral service will be Friday 11 a.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge.  Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family, in lieu of flowers.
