Oleva Vera Gibson

Mrs. Oleva Vera Gibson passed away late Tuesday afternoon, September 10, 2002, at Camelot Nursing Center, in Farmington, at the age of 71 years, 3 months & 21 days. She was born May 19, 1931, in St. Louis, Mo., to Thomas Lee Roberts, Sr. & Zora Goldie 'Dotson' Roberts. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, John David "Big Cat" Gibson (Jan. 16, 1993); 1 Daughter, Gloria Jean Pritchett; 2 Brothers: Arthur & Bee Roberts. Oleva attended the Doe Run Church of God. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: 1 DAUGHTER - Betty 'Mrs. Tom' Straughan, of Farmington; 1 SISTER: Violet Turner, of St. Louis. 3 BROTHERS: Thomas Lee Roberts, Jr., of Clarksville, TN; Francis Roberts, of Bloomsdale, MO. & Ernest Elmer Roberts, of Phoenix, Arizona. Also, 3 Grandchildren & 2 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation Friday 6-9 pm, resuming Saturday at 7:00 am, & funeral Saturday, 1 pm, September 14, 2002, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Bob McKinney officiating. Interment at Knights-of-Pythias Cemetery, Farmington. Memorials to: The American Cancer Society.
