With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ona Sue Perryman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world peacefully, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 83. Sue was born on Wednesday, April 8, 1942, in Fresno, California to the late Roy and Mary (Sexton) Megee.

Sue bravely served her country in the United States Navy. She was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Bonne Terre.

Sue was truly blessed to have a job she loved, working as a cook on a towboat for American Electric Power (AEP). She was a wonderful and devoted mother whose love language was cooking and baking. Nothing brought her more joy than preparing meals for those she loved. She cherished family gatherings, enjoyed working with ceramics, and most of all treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Beth (Tony) Burg, her son Richard (Teresa) Burgan. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Tommy (Jessica) Burgan, Katelyn (Logan) Winder, Anthony Burg, and Ashley (Michael) Huddleston, along with her beloved great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Burgan, Sophia Burgan, Colton Burgan, Brooke Burgan, Nolan Winder, Avery Winder, and Paisley Huddleston. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, ensuring that her love and wisdom will never be forgotten.

Along with her parents, Sue was preceded in death by the father of her children and first husband, Don Burgan; her second husband, Bill Perryman; and her brother, Donald Megee.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Robin Naegel and nursing staff of Serenity Hospice Care for the love, compassion, and exceptional care they provided to our mother.

The memorial gathering to celebrate Sue’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre at 2:00 P.M. Josiah Muncy will be officiating, where family and friends will gather to honor and reflect on the beautiful memories shared with her. Military honors will begin the memorial service at 4:00 P.M.
