Opal (Crites) Barron-Miller, age 89 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Community Manor in Farmington, Missouri. She was born on May 21, 1928 in Greenbriar, Missouri, a daughter of Preston Louis and Rhoda Myrtle (Gould) Crites. In 1946 she was united in marriage to Miles Elwood Barron who preceded her in death on August 10, 1974. On April 21, 1991 she married Ray Miller, he preceded her on February 1, 2008. Her parents and two brothers and four sisters also preceded her. She is survived by her four sons & daughters-in-law - Walter & Melody Barron of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Tom & Becky Barron of Womack, Missouri, Bruce & Terri Barron of Desloge, Missouri and Jeff & Kathryn Barron of Womack; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Opal had worked as housekeeper at the Farmington Community Hospital in Farmington, Missouri; she enjoyed fishing, going for drives and eating out, gardening, spending time with her family and doing church activities where she was a member at the Cross Roads First Church of God at the Cross Roads Community. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Pogue and Rev. Bob Webb officiating. Interment will be at the Cross Roads-Pirtle Cemetery at the Cross Roads Community near Fredericktown. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cross Roads-Pirtle Cemetery Fund.
