Ophelia 'Febe' Romero

Ophelia "Febe" Romero, age 84 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Ozark Manor Care Center in Fredericktown. She was born on March 13, 1933 in Portageville, Missouri, a daughter of Robert Malcolm and Sara Lee (Jinkins) Cromwell.     On September 21, 1971 she was united in marriage to Jerry Romero who preceded her in death on January 27, 2006. Also preceding her are her parents, one son, Dennis Morris, sisters, Maxine Sappington and Betty Adcock and granddaughter, Angie Cross.     She is survived by: two sons - Roger (Sue) Morris of Harrison, Arkansas and Bill Morris of Rockford, Illinois; one daughter - Angela (Courtney) Pittman of Waco, Texas; one brother - Robert Cromwell of Fredericktown; three sisters - Robbie (Larry) White of Fredericktown, Jeri Eaton (Ray Brown) also of Fredericktown and Donna (Leonard) Quinn of Chesterfield,Virginia and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.      Febe had been a certified nurses aide at the Hill Top Nursing Home in Piedmont, Missouri; she enjoyed quilting, embroidering, gardening and her dolls,especially "; she was a member of the Bibleway Penecostal Church in Doniphan, Missouri.      Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, September 29, 2017 also at Wilson Funeral Home. Internment will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Doniphan at a later date.     Condolences may be posted on this website. Visitation: 101 N.
