Orville D. Starnes

Mr. Orville Dennis Starnes passed away Saturday morning, July 16, 2011, at his Dunlap, Illinois, residence at the age of 61 years, 4 months & 22 days. Orville was born in Bonne Terre, on Feb. 24, 1950, and was the son of Kermit M. Starnes, Sr., and Beulah Ina 'White' Starnes Mabuce.

Orville was a 1968 graduate of Farmington High School and received his Master's Degree from the University of Florida in 1976. He was united in marriage fo Katherine Barregarye on June 8, 1973, in Weingarten, MO. After a lengthy period in Convention Center Management, he changed his career to software consulting, working extensively with the US Navy. Orville enjoyed life and has many friends spanning his entire life. He went to rest with the full knowledge of Christ and resurrection through him.

Survivors include: his wife, Katherine "Katie" 'Barregarye' Starnes, of Dunlap, IL; Twin Daughters: Anne Starnes, of Dunlap, IL., & fiance' Corey Wanless, of Peoria Heights, Illinois; Jesslyn Starnes, of Dunlap, IL. 2 Sisters: Kay Feezor, of Farmington & Deborah S. Starnes, of Union, MO. 1 Brother: Kermit M. (& Karen) Starnes, Jr., of St. Louis. Also, many loving Aunts; Uncles; Nieces; Nephews & In-Laws.

Confirmed Visitation : Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., with visitation resuming Wednesday, 6:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Confirmed Funeral Service : Wednesday, 10 am, July 20, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Pastor James King officiating.

Interment : Lutheran Cemetery - Farmington.
