Mr. Orville Kenneth Hampton passed away early Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015, at Southbrook Manor, in Farmington, at the age of 87 years, 2 months & 16 days. Orville was born on March 30, 1928, in Doe Run, and was the son of Harvey Drury Hampton and Mary Elizabeth 'Bainter' Hampton. Also preceding in death were: 2 sisters - Margie Jones & Geneva Jones; 3 brothers - Wilburn Hampton; Donald Hampton & Raymond Hampton.
Orville was a US Navy Veteran and a retired heavy equipment operator and construction worker. He was a member of The Libertyville Methodist Church; a Lifetime member of the Norman L. Rigdon VFW Post #5896 of Farmington & a 50+ year member of the Farmington Odd Fellows Lodge.
Survivors Include: his wife, Marguerite Lillian 'Detring' Hampton, of Farmington. A son, Dale (& Sonja) Hampton, of Libertyville. 4 sisters - Laura Mae McDaniel, of Collinsville, IL; Anna Marie Moore, of Park Hills & Shirley (& Gerald) Martin, of Farmington; and Pearl Hovis, of Fredericktown. 5 brothers - Everett (& Rosalee) Hampton, of Farmington; Edward (& Nettie) Hampton, of Doe Run; Frankie (& Faye) Hampton, of Doe Run; Sonny (& Ann) Hampton, of Michigan, and Fred (& Priscilla) Hampton, of Doe Run. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren - Stephanie (& Jacob) Pfaff, of Libertyville & Dale V. Hampton, of Farmington. 3 great-grandchildren - Brennden; Dahlia & Leo Pfaff.
There Will Be No Visitation
Private Graveside Services will be held at Libertvyille Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Rodger Kiepe officiating
