Pastor Bob Price

Pastor Bob Price, 69, of Farmington, passed away May 16, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born March 21, 1950, in Bonne Terre, to the late Delno George and Frances Ellen (Snead) Price. Bob was previously employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone and was the pastor of Cantwell Baptist Church in Desloge. Bob loved his family dearly, had a heart for ministry, and loved to make people laugh.

For more than 40 years, Bob served as a mentor to others through his commitment to his faith, family and his numerous roles as servant leader in the church. He was unapologetic in his love for his God and in his belief of salvation through Jesus Christ, and he worked daily to share that message with others, both here in his community and through his mission work. Bob’s legacy is one of love and devotion to his family and his faith, and the joy you can achieve in service to others and your Savior. His wish would be that everyone he’s ministered to works daily to create a legacy of their own.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Dean and Richard Dean Price; a sister in infancy, wonderful brother in-law, Denny Stroup and dear nephew, Marty Stroup.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Bobbi (Montgomery) Price; sons, Scott Price and wife Deborah, Brad Price and wife Christina, Clint Price and wife Tonya; six grandchildren, Alex and Chandler Siscoe, Grayson and Stella Price, Caleb and Kaylee Price; siblings, Ardie Price and wife Kay, and Rhonda Stroup; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and church families also survive.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume at Sonrise Baptist Church in Bonne Terre, Monday, May 20, 2019 at 9:00 AM until service time of noon. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorials may be directed to American Diabetes Association, or Visions of Hope (Autos 4 Autism) at any First State Community Bank.
