Listen to Obituary

Patricia Ann DeGuire, 79, of Cedar Hill, passed away on June 16, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on December 16, 1946, in Marquand, Missouri, to the late Roy and Nellie Mae (Ward) Starkey.

Patricia lived a life centered around family, love, and making memories with those she cherished most. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She treasured family gatherings, especially those spent around her pool, surrounded by loved ones.

She shared a beautiful marriage of 59 years with her beloved husband, Lloyd, and one of her favorite pastimes was dancing with him whenever their favorite music began to play. Patricia had a warm and generous spirit, always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.

Patricia enjoyed a long career with Chrysler Corporation before retiring. She possessed a lifelong desire to learn, embracing new experiences, hobbies, and adventures throughout her life.

Patricia enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and friends, tending to her flower gardens, listening to birds, quilting, and traveling. She was happiest near the water—whether at the beach, on a lake, or relaxing poolside.

Known for her grace and impeccable style, Patricia carried herself with elegance and confidence. She was strong yet kind, adventurous, spirited, and full of life. Her love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd DeGuire; brothers, Bob Starkey, Marvin Starkey, and Melvin Starkey; and sister, Mary Jane Stonehouse.

Patricia is survived by her son, Bruce DeGuire and significant other Paula Farmer; daughters, Dana and husband John Veasman, Rhonda and husband Raymond Kordonowy, and Sheila and husband Craig Litty; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Della Jean Rhodes, Pearl Sitze, Joann Stevens, Bud Starkey, and Bill Starkey; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home–Wilson Chapel in Fredericktown on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Gary Rhodes and assisted by Captain Craig Litty.
