Patsy Nell Barton, of Park Hills, a loving wife, mother, Non Non, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on Sunday, May 11, 1941, in Taft, Texas, she dedicated her life to nurturing and uplifting those around her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence B. and Bessie Louree (Pace) Koonce; her beloved husband Harvey Lou “Brother Lou” Barton; two infant siblings, one stillborn and one who passed in infancy, lovingly remembered as Baby Koonce, and one sister Sammye Koonce.

Patsy’s greatest joys came from her family, particularly her beloved grandchildren, for whom she crafted Halloween costumes, matching pajamas, and playful creations like edible playdough. Her days were filled with laughter and love as she indulged in arts and crafts with them while singing nursery rhymes and cherished songs, making their lives feel extraordinary.

A devoted daycare teacher for many years, Patsy embraced her calling to shape the lives of children, instilling values of kindness and creativity. She also shared her love for education as a Sunday school teacher at her church, offering guidance and warmth to many in her community. Her big heart extended beyond her family, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and take part in holiday gatherings that brought everyone together over her delicious cooking.

Patsy’s lasting legacy will be the countless memories she created with her family, particularly as she witnessed her grandchildren proudly graduate; an achievement that was one of her lifelong aspirations.

She is survived by her cherished daughters, Rebekah Wilfong and her husband Victor; and Abigail Osborne and husband Gene; six dear grandchildren, Ethan and Korey, Michael, Payton and Braden, Joshua, Jacob and August. Who will dearly miss her but will keep the memories of her in their heart.

Visitation for Patsy will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until service time of 1:00 P.M. with Matt Hoffmann officiating. Patsy will be laid to rest next to her husband Bro. Lou following the service at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Leadington, Missouri.

Patsy’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her, a gentle reminder of the love and joy she so effortlessly shared.
