Patsy Reagan, 80, of Farmington, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 17, 2026. Born on February 17, 1946, in Sprott, Missouri, she was the daughter of Fred and Lois (Babb) Scaggs.
Pat dedicated her professional life to public service. At the time of her retirement, she worked as a Personnel Officer for the Department of Social Services, Division of Medical Services. Her career journey was remarkable, beginning with her work at the Missouri State Penitentiary (the Walls) and continuing through her service with the Division of Health and the Division of Medical Services. Pat’s dedication to her work reflected her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Family was at the heart of Pat’s life. She is survived by her daughter Katheryn (Katy) Bercume and husband Ethan, her son Thomas (Thom) Reagan and partner Diana Blocker, and her brother Wes Scaggs and wife Mary. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughters Kylie Snellen, Rhea-Anna Reagan, Lindsay Heiges, Michaela Sanders and husband Garrett, and Haley Reagan and partner Wesley Kuehn. Pat’s legacy continues through her great-grandsons Elias James Sanders and Cyrus Reed Sanders. Nephew George Gordon and wife Connie Gordon. Nieces Christina Bolton, Heather Reagan, Bobbie Rysing, Billie Nozares and Terrie Scaggs. Nephew Mark Tessereau and wife Linda. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas "Russ" Reagan; her parents Fred Scaggs and Lois (Babb) Scaggs; her siblings Fred Scaggs, Bonnie Gordon, and Mary Gordon.
Pat’s life was filled with creativity and love for her family. She found joy in quilting and sewing, often teaching these skills to her granddaughters and creating treasured quilts for those she loved. Cooking and baking were also passions of hers; making cookies with her granddaughters was a favorite pastime they eagerly anticipated. Pat shared her knowledge of canning with her daughter and granddaughters, passing down tips and tricks that will be remembered for generations. She had a special fondness for ripe garden tomatoes and blackberries, which brought simple yet profound joy to her life.
A devoted woman of faith, Pat was deeply involved in her church communities. She played the organ for many years at the First Church of God in Jefferson City, where she also served as a Sunday School teacher and board member. Later in life, she attended the First Church of God - Doe Run, where she played both piano and organ for services as well as weddings and funerals. Her unwavering love for Jesus guided every aspect of her life. In one of her final messages to those she loved, she encouraged them to "trust Our God." Her faith was evident in every action she took—a shining example of a godly woman with a giving heart.
Pat’s warmth extended far beyond her family. Those who knew her felt the radiance of her kindness and generosity. Whether playing a competitive game of Scrabble or Spades with loved ones or sharing laughter with friends from church or quilting classes, Pat brought light into every room she entered. Her talents as a seamstress and quilt maker were matched only by her skill at Scrabble.
Pat’s memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 04:00 PM until 05:00 PM at First Steps Church of God – Farmington, 306 N Carleton Street with the funeral service beginning at 5:00 PM.
