Mr. Paul Vernis Hawkins

Paul Vernis Hawkins of Ironton, MO passed away April 8, 2014 at his residence at the age of 82 years. He was born August 31, 1931 in Black, MO the son of Ollie and Lydia (Black) Hawkins. On September 30, 1951 he was united in marriage to Ira Ann Lewis who survives. To this union four children were born; Paula and husband Ronnie Warren of Annapolis, MO, Lisa Brooks of Ironton, MO, Gary Hawkins of LaMonte, MO, and Rebecca and Sonny Bradshaw of Columbia, MO. Also surviving is his sister, Opal Brooks of Pilot Knob, MO, grandchildren; Scott (Sloane) Warren, Suzi (Chris) Lorenz, Gynnah Gaudreau, Ryan Brooks, Corey Brooks, and great grandchildren; Clayton, Addie, Taylor, Jordan, Sawyer, Logan, and Leilah as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Paul was preceded in death by two brothers; Elvin Hawkins and Bud Winingar and three sisters; Sarah Green, Ruby Tripp and Arlene Hawkins. Paul was a 1950 graduate of Ironton High School.
