Paul Thomas Sweet, age 77 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown. He was born on February 9, 1939 in Bertrand, Missouri, a son of William Thomas and Arvetta Doris (Clayton) Sweet. On December 29, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Lindsay, she survives in Fredericktown.      Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law - Julie Ann & David Tackitt of Annapolis, Missouri; one grandson - Devin Paul Charles Cook of Arlington, Virginia; one granddaughter - Jessie Danielle Tackitt of Annapolis; one brother - William Kenneth Sweet of Annapolis; two sisters & brother-in-laws - Marilyn & Vernon Milonas of St. Charles, Missouri,  Judy & Mike Manning of Bertrand, Missoui and several nieces, nephews and friends. His parents and one brother, Delmer "Sonny" Sweet precedes him in death.      Paul was a United States Army Veteran; he had been a bus driver for the Bi-State Transit Co. in St. Louis and was an avid St. Louis Rams and Cardinals fan; he enjoyed racing, repairing bikes and most of all taking care of his family, he was a member of Calvary Church in Fredericktown.     Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.  A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri with Pastor Randy Sawyer officiating.      Condolences may be posted on this website.
