Pauline G. Black

Pauline Black, 97, of Farmington passed away May 31, 2019, at Presbyterian Manor.  She was born February 18, 1922 in Reynolds County to the late Henry and Maude (Volner) Sumpter.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren M. Black; son, Steve Black; two sisters, Mary and Ruth Sumpter; two brothers, Lowell Sumpter and Jimmy Sumpter. 

Pauline is survived by one son, Richard (Deborah) Black; 6 grandchildren, Julia (David) Lega, Jordan (Carly) Black, Katie (Joe) Garcia, Whitney Black, Christopher Black and Henry Black; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Barnes. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington, with Pastor Bob Webb officiating. Interment will follow at the Big River Cemetery in Irondale.
