Peggie Arlene La Plante

"View Video Tribute" Peggie Arlene La Plante, 78, beloved wife and mother, entered into final rest on July 28, 2004, at her Farmington residence. She was born April 4, 1926, in Flat River, MO., to Clifford Woodbury Limbaugh and Esther Etta 'Harris' Limbaugh. Preceding in death was her husband of 49 years, Harold Glenwood La Plante, the love of her life. They were married July 19, 1952, in St. Louis, MO. Also preceding were 2 brothers, Clifford Eugene & Jimmy Allen and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth F. Platten. Peggie graduated from Flat River High School in 1943 & was a member of the Alumni Association for many years & was committee chairman for their high school reunions. She loved planning these reunions & dedicated much time & energy to ensure their class maintained lifelong friendships. She was a lifelong bingo player & will be missed by many of her bingo buddies. Peggie was an avid Cardinal baseball fan & cheered them on enthusiastically. She was a devoted & loving mother to her 4 children and is survived by: James T. La Plante, of Festus, MO; Linda (Donald) Gregory, of South Carolina; Cindy (Randy) Johnson, of Farmington; Lisa (Curt) Randall, also of Farmington. In addition, she is survived by 7 Grandchildren: Lonni, Stephanie, Kevin, Cory, Shawn, Aaron & Carlee. 10 Great-Grandchildren; a Special Niece, Pat Limbaugh Holst & a Special Friend, Judy Sheets, along with many other relatives & friends. The family would like to extend "special appreciation" to HospiceCare, Inc., for their compassionate service in our time of need. Memorials may be directed to this organization via Taylor Funeral Service. Visitation will be Thursday & Friday, from 4-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Saturday, 9 am & funeral Saturday, 10:30 am, at TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, conducted by Reverend Jesse Perry of the Presbyterian Church of Farmington, where she was a lifelong member. Graveside services immediately following at Woodlawn Cemetery, Leadington, MO.
