Peggy Mitchell

Peggy Jean (Burns) Mitchell, 90 of Park Hills, passed away on Sept. 16, 2023, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor. Peggy was born Oct. 27, 1932, to the late Hugh and Ida (Lane) Burns of Flat River.
Peggy (Aunt Peg) was an avid Cardinals fan, football fan, longtime member of the Esther United Methodist Church, Mineral Area Elks, and Farmington VFW Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert “Peck” Mitchell; brothers, Bert Burns and Donald Burns; sister, Doris Welch.
Peggy is survived by her son, Randy Mitchell, and wife Lana; granddaughter, Brandee and husband Brian Maddox; grandson, Derek Mitchell; great-granddaughters, Kloey and Riley Kelley, Evelynn Maddox; loving sister in-law, Mary Ann Burns; special nephew; Reggie Burns; special nieces, Suzan Gilliam and Michelle Manion, along with many dear nieces, nephews and friends. A special thanks to all her new friends and the caring employees she met at Presbyterian Manor for their love and support.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Caldwell Chapel, Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Reverend Alan Harp will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for final expenses.
