Phyllis Lynn Swearingen

Phyllis Lynn Swearingen, 67, of Farmington, passed away March 10, 2023 at St. Francois Manor in Farmington. She was born July 29, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Kenneth and Claudine (Harris) Moeckel. Phyllis was a doting fan of Elvis Presley. She loved Christmas because she loved the gift of giving to others. Her heart was rich in gold and she brought so much joy to everyone she met, especially her family.  She enjoyed baking, cooking and dancing.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Carver.

Phyllis is survived by three siblings, Kenneth Moeckel and fiancé Angie Little, Theresa Kerperien and husband Rick and Thomas Moeckel.  Several special nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family would like to give special thanks to St. Francois Manor and Preferred Hospice for their loving and special care they gave Phyllis during her stay.

Graveside burial will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Pilot Knob Cemetery, Hwy 63 South, Rolla, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
