Preben Andersen

Preben Andersen of Arcadia, Missouri passed away March 18, 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 69 years. He was born August 8, 1953 in Aarhus, Denmark the son of the late Niels Andreas and Gerthy (Pedersen) Andersen. On June 17, 2000 he was united in marriage to Christine Marie Nelson who survives. Preben is survived by three daughters: Rikke Madsen (Thomas Staum), Ea Madsen, and Maria “Louise” Dyrendom Larsen all of Denmark and his bonus son: Robert Allegree (Sara) of Arcadia, Missouri. Preben is also survived by his sister; Birthe Andersen of Denmark and six grandchildren: Sofia, Oskar, Victor and Freja, Trevor Hall and Devon Hall, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Preben was a high school graduate in Denmark. He worked as a supervisor in a bakery when he lived there. In 1999 he met Christine and they had a long distance relationship for over a year before they married. They lived in Denmark for four years after they got married, before they moved to the United States. After they were living here, he worked at Trimfoot for four years where he enjoyed working with his Trimfoot family. He enjoyed playing chess and belonged to a chess club. Preben also loved to read and fish. He enjoyed sports and was especially fond of European soccer. He was loved by many and will be missed. There are no services planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the organization of your choice or to Christine as she transitions to life without Preben.
