Ray G. Watkins

Ray G. Watkins, 55 of Valles Mines passed away May 8, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1957 in St. Louis. He was a faithful member at the Goose Creek Baptist Church. Ray was a dedicated carpenter for Millstone-Bangert Corp. and a member of Carpenters Union Local 2214. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha (Young) Watkins and brother, Anthony Watkins.Ray is survived by his wife, Shawn (Durham) Watkins; children, Kayleigh Watkins, Keith Watkins, Kyle Watkins; father, Richard Watkins; two brothers, Carl Watkins, Richard (Tammy Lee) Watkins; two sisters, Rhonda Dunham, Carolyn (Kevin) Henderson; best friend, Randy Tudor. Several nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Visitation will resume at 10:00 AM at the Goose Creek Baptist Church on Friday with a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ed Despain officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in DeSoto. Memorials may be made to the Goose Creek Baptist Church.
