Raymond Dodd Jr.

Raymond Dodd Jr., age 73 passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at his home near Fredericktown, Missouri surrounded by his family. He was born on Friday, February 23, 1951, to the late Raymond Leon and Beulah Elizabeth (Faucett) Dodd at JY near Portageville, Missouri.

On September 9, 1970, in New Madrid, Missouri he was united in marriage to Shelby Jean Keene who preceded him in death on June 12, 2018.

Those surviving include his two sons & daughters-in-law - Ray Dodd III and wife Shannon and Kevin Dodd Sr. and wife Jennifer both of Fredericktown; three sisters – Shelby Finnegan of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Diane Dodd of Marion, Illinois and Kathy Speakman of Buckner, Illinois; six grandchildren – Emily, Dodd, Raylyn Dodd, Tyler White, Ashley White, Kyndal Dodd and Kevin Dodd II.

In addition to his parents, and wife he is preceded in death by one sister, Betty Compton.

Raymond was a retired concrete finisher, he also retired from mail delivery in New Madrid County; he enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and working on engines of any kind.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., also on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown with Pastor G.L. Keene officiating.

Interment will be at Revelle Cemetery at Cherokee Pass near Fredericktown.
