Raymond Lee Hartrup

     Raymond Lee Hartrup, age 88, of Aurora, Missouri, formerly of Farmington, Missouri, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Oak Pointe of Monett, Missouri. He was born March 18, 1933, in Ellington, Missouri, the son of Ralph and Eunice (Anderson) Hartrup.

     Ray was a United States Air Force Veteran surviving during the Korean Conflict and worked in commercial construction as a Pipefitter. He was a member of Pipefitter’s Local Union 562, Moolah Shrine, Quetzalcoatl Mexican Shrine, and the Scottish Rite all in St. Louis, Missouri. Ray was a member of the Elks Lodge 1765, Ecmo Shrine and Masonic Lodge 132 all in Farmington. He was a member of the Ellington First Baptist Church.

     On June 14, 1953, he married Shirley Jean Britt in Ellington, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2002.

     Ray is survived by two daughters, Cathy Pratt and her husband, Larry, of Aurora, Missouri and Carla Taylor and her husband, Frank, of Port Richey, Florida; one son, David Hartrup and his wife, Ashley, of Aurora; nine grandchildren, Aaron (Stacy) Pratt, Erik (Jessica) Pratt, Andrea (Jay) Conway, Jaysa (Craig) Tushaus, Lance (Brandy) Boyer, Brad Boyer, Kari Hartrup, Kristen (Kyle) Courtois, and Josh Hartrup; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Nina Baker of Ellington, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

     Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph, and Eunice; his wife, Shirley; one sister, Margaret (Berlin) Santhuff; three brothers, Truman (Glenda) Hartrup, Vadis (Lottie) Hartrup and Cletus (Jane) Hartrup and brother-in-law, Willard Baker.

     Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at C.Z. Boyer & Son-Taylor Chapel in Farmington. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
