Regina Kay Dowd

Regina Kay Dowd, age 68, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at her home in Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born on February 16, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri to Sie Leonard and Bernic Murel (Gipson) Merriman.

On December 21, 1973, in Fredericktown she was united in marriage to Melvin Gerald Dowd, he survives at home.

Other survivors include her children – Jerren (Misty) Dowd, Alisia (Ryan) Johnston; sisters – Brenda (Paul) Johnson, Carrol Brittenham and Barbara Wilkinson;

brothers – Sie Merriman Jr. and Eugene Merriman; grandchildren – Kinleigh, Gracie, Isaac, Grace Hunter, Hattie, Gabriella, Jozie, Landon, Hayden, Mady, Mackenzie,

great grandchildren – Brynlee, Millie, Tayton, Maci, Theo, Owen and Greyson Dowd.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son – Stephen Dowd and grandson – Hunter Dowd.

Regina had worked as a care giver for A1 Home Health care in Bonne Terre, Missouri; she enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Grace Church of the Heartland in Fredericktown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., also on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Grace Church of the Heartland with Pastor Ray Reese officiating.

Interment will be at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Fredericktown.
