Rev. James Miles

Rev. James Lee Miles, 70, of New Albany, Indiana passed away October 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 23, 1948 in Oswego, Kansas to the late Bertis N. and Dorothy (Lewis) Miles. James proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved to spend his time fishing and watching the Oklahoma Sooners Football team. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1968-1969. He was licensed as a minister in the Church of God in 1977 and spent the next forty years in ministry as an evangelist and pastor.

James is survived by three sons, Matthew Miles and wife Jamie, Michael Miles and wife Jody, Josh Miles and wife Jaclyn; eight grandchildren, Thatcher, James, Caden, Adlai, Ben, Mason, Adele and John Mark; step-mother, Christine Garner.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 1:30 PM until the time of service at 2:30 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Interment will follow at Big River Cemetery in Irondale.
