Rev. Preston E. Hunt

Rev. Preston E. Hunt, Sr., passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at the Parkland Health Center, Farmington, at the age of 89 years, 1 month & 17 days. Preston was born June 26, 1917, in Vida, MO., & was the son of Royce Eugene Hunt & Sylvia Mae 'Gibson' Hunt. He was also preceded-in-death by: his wife, Laura Mae 'Coleman' Hunt, (1998)l 1 Grandson, Mark C. Pogue; his Step-Mother: Stella 'Oster' Hunt; 3 Sisters: Katherine Mouser; Viola Moore & Maxine Cox.. Also, 3 Brothers: Stuart Lee Hunt; Roscoe Wilbur Hunt & 1 other brother, in-infancy.

Rev. Hunt was: * a member of Farmington First Baptist Church & a US ARMY Veteran of World War II. Rev. Hunt formerly pastored Chestnut Ridge & Knob Lick Baptist Churches & pastored several other local Baptist Churches.

Survivors Include: 1 Daughter, Ellen 'Mrs. Gary' Counts, of Green River, WY; 2 Sons: Preston E. (& Linda) Hunt, Jr., of Farmington; Royce Wayne (& Barbara) Hunt, of Borden, IN; 5 Grandchildren: Brian (& Jacqueline) Hunt; Diane Waller; Tina 'Mrs. Jeff' Umfleet; Robert Hunt; Edward (& Kimberly) Hunt. Also, 8 Great-Grandchildren & 6 Step, Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, 4-8 pm. Visitation resumes Thursday, 7-8:30 a.m.

Funeral: Thursday, 10:00 a.m., Aug. 17, 2006,at: Farmington First Baptist Church with Dr. William C. Miller officiating.

Interment: Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Ste. Genevieve Co., MO.
