Rev. Ray Lynn Caringer, of Highlandville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 11, 2017, at Tablerock Healthcare, in Kimberling City, Missouri, at the age of 77 years, 8 months & 28 days. Ray was born on July 13, 1939, in Libertyville, MO., & was the son of Clarence Benjamin Caringer and Allene Alma 'Hovis' Caringer. Also preceding in death was an infant brother.
Ray graduated from Herculaneum High School and attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO., for 2 years. Ray was an Assemblies of God Pastor and Missionary. His hobbies included: Ham Radio; Photography; Riding Motorcycles and Flying. The highlight of his ministry was pastoring a military church in Iwakuni, Japan. He pastored 10 churches in over 45 years of ministry, as well as evangelical work.
Survivors Include : his wife of 57 1/2 years, Louise 'King' Caringer, of Highlandville. 2 daughters, Denise Thompson, of Boss, MO., and Debra (& Chip) Dudden, of Grain Valley, MO. Grandchildren: Katrina (& Michael) Lilly-Allman, of Highlandville, MO; Katelyn (& Tyler) Shipman, of Springdale, Ark and Abeni Dudden, of Grain Valley, MO. Great-Grandchildren: Alex Lilly, Logan Allman, Neil Shipman and Owen Shipman.
Visitation : Friday, 6-8 p.m., Visitation resumes Saturday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Saturday, 1:00 p.m., April 15, 2017
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Al Pulis officiating
Interment follows at Libertyville Methodist Cemetery
