Rich Cowell

            Rich Cowell, 70, of Park Hills, passed away at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis on March 17, 2018.  He was born on March 13, 1948 to the late Samuel and Marcella (Zimmerman) Cowell.  Rich served in the United States Army from 1968-69 during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart.  He was a member of Esther Gospel Tabernacle in Park Hills.  He loved traveling to Branson and tinkering with his 1983 custom van.

            He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marcia Cowell.  

            Rich is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Phyllis (Martin) Cowell; children, Tim Cowell and wife Tonia, Michael Cowell, Richard Cowell Jr. and wife Jennifer, Chastity Pierce, David Cowell and wife Carrie, Brandi Cowell and boyfriend Chris, Dere’K Cowell; special granddaughter, Tiffany Cowell and fiance’ Jack; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild and brother Robert Cowell and wife Karen all survive.

            Memorial visitation will be held at Park Hills Senior Center 224 Main Street Park Hills at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 24, 2018 until service time of 1:00 PM with Pastor Debra Wigger officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in care of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home.
