Ricky “Rick” Dean Banks

            Rick Banks, 67, of Irondale passed away suddenly on March 15, 2019 at Parkland Hospital.  He was born on April 25, 1951 in Leadwood, Missouri to the late Walter Edward and Marie Lucille (Gillam) Banks. He was united in marriage to Janet (Ives) Banks on October 5, 1973.

            Rick worked as a Chemical Operator with Buckman Laboratories in Cadet, MO for 37 years before his retirement. Rick was a member of First Baptist Church of Irondale where he loved serving in the Awana kids’ club and other ministries. Rick’s biggest source of joy was spending time with his family.

             Rick is survived by his loving wife, Janet; three sons, Lucas Banks and wife Tracy, Levi Banks and wife Sarah, Logan Banks and wife Julie; seven grandchildren, Riley Snyder and husband Graham, Jacob, Cameron, Aletheia, Micah, Liam and Zeke; siblings, Beverly Burgess and husband Bob, Wanda Compton and husband Dan, Ronnie Banks and wife Grace, Alvin Banks and wife Becky; sister-in-law, Kathy Banks; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and sister-in-law, Billy Banks, Sonny Banks and wife Dottie.

             Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Bro. Chris Myers officiating. Burial to follow at Leadwood Cemetery in Leadwood.
