Robert Smith Blick

Robert Smith Blick of Ironton, Missouri passed away October 16, 2023 at The Baptist Home at the age of 90 years. He was born August 25, 1933 in Anna, Illinois the son of the late Harley R. and Maude Nicola (Smith) Blick. On December 5, 1959 he was united in marriage to Patricia Annette Matthews who survives. To this union a daughter was born; Dayna Lorraine Blick (James Cowins) of St. Louis, Missouri. Robert is also survived by his grandson Robert Paul Miller (Fiance’ Kaila Murphy) of Arnold, Missouri, a great grandson Jaxson David Miller and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bob was preceded in death by two brothers: Collin Blick and Leland Blick and three sisters: Dorothy Ferrante, Helen Ferrante, and Anita Barteau. Bob was a graduate of Soldan High School in St. Louis. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. After his stent in the Army, he worked for Halben Food Company, which is where he retired from. He and Patricia were members of the Windsor Baptist Church in Imperial, Missouri for many years before moving to The Baptist Home. He was a member of the JOY group at church and he taught Sunday School to the homebound. Bob loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at The Baptist Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
