It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Lee Sale 76, of Bonne Terre, Sunday, June 16, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in St. Louis on Tuesday, December 30, 1947, to the late Robert Sale, Virginia (Lichterman) Noonan and beloved stepfather Charles Noonan. He lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with his beloved family. A dedicated factory worker at American Can, Bob's hard work and dedication not only provided for his family, but also left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bob's passion for seafood, fast cars, and sports made him a joy to be around. From dining out at his favorite restaurants to cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals and Buffalo Bills, Bob's enthusiasm for life was infectious. He loved car shows and showing his Corvettes and Mustangs. He enjoyed vacations by the ocean and collecting seashells. These were constants in his life that brought him immense joy. Bob's warm and sociable nature endeared him to many, and his ability to remember faces and stories made him a treasured friend to all. His quick wit, sharp memory, and genuine interest in others made him a master of knowledge in sports. Bob's ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will be forever remembered.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Noonan and Leroy Sale; one sister-in-law Judy FelDotto; brother-in-law, John Heitert. Bob is survived by his cherished wife Sue of almost 57 years, sons Robert Gene (Mindy) Sale, Jason Michael (Stephanie) Sale; daughter, Shannon Nicole (Lance) Iverson; grandchildren, Luke Sale, Christian Iverson, Andrew Sale, Adam Sale and Caylee Iverson; siblings, Donna (Randy) Blue, and Joyce (Bobby) Robinson and Terry Shelton; 2 brothers-in-law, Ron (Joyce) Heitert and Jerry (Sally) FelDotto; 4 sisters-in-law, Jane (Matt) Lawson, Joan (Tom) McAnally, Janet (Mike) Thomas and Ginny Heitert.
Memorial visitation will be held at Oak Bridge Community Church in Arnold, Missouri on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 8:30 AM until memorial service time of 10:30 AM with Pastor Tom Noblitt officiating. An inurnment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Bob's honor. T2T.org
