Robert "Bob" Wayne Young

Robert “Bob” Wayne Young, 70 of Valle Mines, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Mercy-Jefferson Hospital in Festus. He was born in St. Louis, Sunday, December 21, 1952, to the late Willis G. and Elsie C. (Boyd) Young. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army; he attended Grace Way Ministries Church in Farmington. Bob worked for 7 years in St. Francois County, State Park in charge of groundskeeping and landscape maintenance. He enjoyed woodworking, animals, hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Cynthia (Allen) Young; siblings, Fred Young and Ricky Young.

Bob is survived by his children, Chandler, Dawn and William “Cody” Young. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 10:00 AM until service time of 11:00 AM. with Pastor Michael Barton officiating. Inurnment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
