Listen to Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” L. Curtis, age 72, of Farmington, Missouri, who departed this life on October 11, 2026. Born on June 13, 1954, in Bonne Terre Missouri, Robert was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and cherished friend to many.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Vivian (Blake) Curtis; brother and sister-in-law, Jackie “Jack” Curtis; and sister, Beverly Tucker.

Bob was a talented musician, known for his skillful steel guitar performances. In his youth, he traveled extensively, sharing the stage with well-known artists and fostering a deep appreciation for the art of music. His passion for melodies resonated not only through his performances but also in his everyday life, as he found joy in listening to music. In addition to his musical endeavors, Bob dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving others as a Psychiatric Aide. Bob’s nurturing spirit extended to his love for nature; he found peace and solace in the beauty of flowers and tended to the grounds around his home with a gentle touch and great pride.

Bob is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles “Chuck” and Patty Curtis; sister-in-law, Joan Curtis; nieces and nephews: Curtis, Marilyn, Carolyn, Lisa, Laurie, Jack, Shari, Christine, Charlene, and Michael; as well as many loving family members, and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who have the privilege of knowing him.

A private graveside service is scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son – Taylor Chapel.
