Mr. Robert Eugene Botkin passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 8, 2011, at Parkland Health Center, Farmington, at the age of 82 years, 10 months & 11 days. Robert was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Centerville, MO., to James Bluett Botkin & Lorene Bell 'Miller' Botkin. Also preceding in death were: his Wife, Wilma Avis 'Santhuff' Botkin (Jan. 24, 2010); 1 Sister, Ilene Haas & 4 Brothers, Euel; Lowell; Bernell & William Botkin.
Robert was a longtime faithful member of Farmington First Baptist Church. He was also one of the original 4 partners of Botkin Lumber Co. Robert married Wilma A. Santhuff on April 5, 1947, in Centerville. Robert & Wilma enjoyed a wonderful retirement together which included hobbies of: Avid golfer, Square Dancer, Hunter, Fisherman & Camper. They traveled abroad & in all the states in America. He also enjoyed the Granddaughters on trips.
Survivors Include : 1 Daughter: Karen 'Mrs. Albert' Cleve, of Farmington; 1 Son: Robert E. Botkin, II, of Oceanside, CA; 2 Sisters: Mary Lou Martin, of St. Louis & Irene 'Mrs. Luingene' Martin, of St. Louis; 2 Brothers: Jim Wayne (& Carol) Botkin, of Farmington & Richard (& Gloria) Botkin, of Katy, TX; 2 Granddaughters: Jennifer L. 'Mrs. Donnie' Blum & Katherine L. 'Mrs. Matthew' Winick, both of Farmington and 2 Great-Granddaughters: Campbell L. Blum & Kendall R. Blum, both of Farmington. Also surviving are numerous Nieces & Nephews.
Visitation : Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., at TAYLOR Funeral Service, Inc.
Visitation resumes: Wednesday 6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Visitation moves to Farmington First Baptist Church, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Funeral : Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., January 12, 2011,
at: Farmington First Baptist Church, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating.
Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington
