Robert H. Mcclanahan

Robert Henry McClanahan, 87 of Terre Du Lac passed away April 22, 2011. He was born February 25, 1924 in St. Francois, MO. He served in various countries during his military career in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed having his family by his side through his duty assignments in Japan, Italy, France and Labrador. Robert loved to hunt and fish with his father and brother-in-law, Gene McIntyre. Before retirement he worked in St. Louis for the Department of Army payroll department. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Maudie (Hood) McClanahan; wife; Loretta (Wampler) McClanahan; six brothers, Lehman, Murial, Frank, Bill, Bert and one brother who passed away in his youth; one sister, Bethel Brannam.Robert is survived by daughter, Colleen Craig of Terre Du Lac; daughter and son-in-law, Bethel and Jeff Rogers of VA; one beloved granddaughter, Kendal Rogers; three sisters-in-law, Maxine, Juanita and Janet McClanahan.Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Service will be wednesday at 11:30 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Chaplain Jim St. James officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Ozarks.
