Robert L. House II

Born on Tuesday, January 17, 1961, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, Robert Lee House II passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Mouse” House and Connie L. Hulsey. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Laura (DeClue); his children, Marcus (Casey) House, Robert (Maggie) House III, and Amber (John) Barriner; and his siblings, Darrel Govero, Jill Zellner, and Robert (Courtney) Ulman II.

Rob spent 38 years of his career as sales manager for Mineral Area Office Supply, serving businesses throughout the community. His ability to connect with people was an asset throughout his career, and he retired in 2022.

Rob enjoyed spending time on the golf course and could be found many evenings at Leadbelt Golf Course, squeezing in a few holes or simply taking in the sunset. He was especially proud of the three holes-in-one he scored over the years.

An avid music fan, Rob loved discovering a new band or song, especially when introduced to one by his sons or brothers. He was a conscientious listener with a knack for music trivia and could be counted on to remember obscure band and artist names or random lyrics.

Rob enjoyed reminiscing about his younger days racing motorcycles, a favorite pastime he shared with anyone who would listen. He had a natural ability to strike up a conversation with just about anybody and particularly enjoyed talking with his many friends.

Lovingly dubbed the “Yard Man” by his wife and sons, Rob took great pride in his lawn. His greatest pride and joy, however, was his family. Above all, he was a loving husband and devoted father.

Rob will be remembered for his love of family, his friendly nature, and the connections he made with the people around him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and many people who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be Monday, November 2, 2026 at 1:30 P.M. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery.
