       Robert Bockenkamp, 84, of Desloge passed away June 23, 2017 at NHC Healthcare. He was born on August 29, 1932 to the late Carl Herman and Fannie (Strong) Bockenkamp. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Des Moines (CA-134) and he was a member of the Desloge VFW. He was a member of Local 562 Pipefitters until he retired. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth (Montgomery) Bockenkamp; brother, Ralph Bockenkamp; and a sister, Marguerite DeWeese.  

Robert is survived by his children, Robert L. Bockenkamp II and Robin Keay Bockenkamp. 

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM with Pastor Scott Edgar officiating. Inurnment is scheduled at 1:30 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers’s Associaton or Camp Hope.
