Robert Morrison Smith

Mr. Robert Morrison Smith passed away early Wednesday evening, August 5, 2009, at the Alexian Brothers Lansdowne Village, in St. Louis, at the age of 84 years & 17 days. Robert was born on July 18, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, and was the son of Milford A. Smith and Grace Catherine 'Morrison' Smith. Robert was a Credit Manager at The Caine Steel Company while residing in St. Charles, Missouri.

Robert was: * a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington; * a member, 4th Degree Knights-of-Columbus in St. Charles, Missouri, having served as Grand Knight; * he was active in the Boy Scouts when his children were growing up in St. Charles; * he volunteered at the Food Pantry in Farmington.

Survivors Include : 1 daughter, Helen M. (Mrs. Bryce) Cripps, of Columbia, MO; 4 sons: Robert Morrison (& Julie) Smith, Jr., of Florissant, MO; Charles M. (& Christy) Smith, of St. Peters, MO; Col. David M. (& Suzanna) Smith, of Maple Hill, NC; Thomas M. (& Kim) Smith, of Farmington. The Mother of his Children: Betty D. 'Striebel' Smith, of Columbia, MO. 1 Sister: Margaret Jo 'Mrs. John E. (Jack)' Johnson, of Louisville, KY.

Visitation : Saturday, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at TAYLOR Funeral CHAPEL

Mass : Saturday, 11:30 a.m., August 8, 2009

at : St. Joseph Catholic Church, Farmington, with Fr. James Dyer officiating.

Interment : New Calvary Cemetery, Farmington
