Robert Lee Yount

Robert Lee Yount, formerly of Ironton, Missouri passed away January 7, 2023 in Auburn, Alabama at the age of 95 years. He was born April 30, 1927 in Ironton, Missouri the son of the late Marcus and FairyMae (McNabb) Yount. On February 8, 1957 he was united in marriage to Gwen Rose Hoehn who preceded him in death on August 9, 1996. Bob is survived by their son, Dr. Alan Yount and wife, Cynthia of Auburn, Alabama. Also surviving are his grandson; Nicholas Yount and wife, Carolina of Huntsville, Alabama and his granddaughter, Alexandra Atkins and husband, Marcus and their children, Bryce and Madilyn of Auburn, Alabama as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, John Yount and his sister, Eilleen Stubblefield. Bob was a graduate of Ironton High School.
