Roberta Joan Buschman-House, 78, of Bonne Terre, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 10, 2022. She was born Saturday, November 5, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Robert and Josephine (Miller) Monroe, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her late husband, Will Buschman.

Roberta is survived by her husband Robert House; son, Robert Buschman and wife Emilie; step-son, Robert House II and wife Laura; step-daughter, Sr. Kathleen Buschman; four grandsons, Robert Buschman II and wife Tera, Taylor Buschman, Marcus House and wife Casey, Robert House III and wife Maggie; three great-grandchildren, Drake, Preston, and Raelynn Buschman; sister, Judy Pinkston; and brother, Robert “Jim” Monroe, Jr.  and wife Patann along with many nieces and nephews.  She was a compassionate person and will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Roberta was a member of the Bonne Terre First Baptist Church.  She was a graduate of  Desloge High School class of 1962. She was owner of the Country Cupboard in Bonne Terre and the previous owner of the Homestead Restaurant also, in Bonne Terre. Roberta loved spending time with her family.  Her greatest passion was cooking, and loved watching the old mystery murder shows such as Murder She Wrote, Matlock, and Midsomer Murders.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at C. Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with a private burial at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Serenity Hospice Care 5272 Flat River Rd., Park Hills, MO 63601.
