Rodney Lee Royer, age 68 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the Kindred Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on December 31, 1954, in Farmington, Missouri to Howard Kenneth and Norma Geneva (Griffith) Royer.


On December 8, 2005, he was united in marriage to Sonya Denise Faught, she survives at the home.


Other survivors include: three sons – Jason (Kim) Royer of Gosnell, Arkansas, Jason (Lindsay) Faught of West Fork, Arkansas and Randy Faught of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two daughters – Sandi (Wayne) Tharrett of Florence, Indiana, and Brianna (Brian) Westmeyer of Troy, Missouri; one sister – Sherilyn (Roger) Kennedy of Fredericktown; two brothers – Michael (Marilyn) Royer of Fredericktown and Daniel (Lynn) Royer also of Fredericktown and twenty grandchildren.


Rodney was retired from the United States Air Force; he invented the R&R Pylon Load Adapter that loaded the B-52 bombers; he enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, gardening, and farming. He was a member of Silver Mines Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.


Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, March 6, 2023, also at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Crocker officiating.


Interment will be at the Royer Cemetery near Fredericktown.
