Ronald Joseph Mecey

Ronald Joe Mecey age 69 of French Village passed away July 30, 2011 at National Health Care in Desloge, Missouri.Joe was born to the late Wesley and Jessaline (Herbst) Mecey on August 21, 1941 in Bonne Terre. He is also preceded by his wife Janet Mecey; two daughters Nancy Barks and Marti Mecey; Sister, Yvonne Easter; Sister-In-Law Susie Mecey.Joe was a member of the St. Anne Catholic Church. Joe was graduate of the Flat River High Class of 1959, he then served in the United States Navy for several years. After the Navy Joe returned and was employed with Missouri Dept. of Transportation for 35 Years.Joe is survived by children, Christina and husband Joe Penrod, John Ezell Sr., Michael Mundschenk; grandchildren, Jonny Baner, Lawrence Cook, Joanna Penrod, Steven Cook, Jaime Ezell, John Ezell, Jr., Jessie Barks; three Grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters, Lawrence and wife Marilyn Mecey, Ralph Mecey, Judy Eaker, Henry and wife Mary Mecey, Diane and husband Bob Helms, Billy and wife Kim Mecey; Numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation will be Tuesday August 2, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home Bonne Terre. Memorial Mass will be Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 10 am at the St. Anne Catholic Church in French Village. Inurnment will be at St. Johns Cemetery in West Frankfort, Illinois. Memorials can be directed to American Cancer Society or Leukemia Society of America.
