Roscoe Tyrone "Tony" Porter, age 74 passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home near Patton, Missouri. He was born on August 13, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Roscoe Sylvester and Noval Mae Beatrice (Hatton) Porter. He was married in 1986 to his wife Lois, she preceded him in death in 2010. His parents and one brother, two sisters and one grandson also precedes him. He is survived by his children: Beatrice Porter of Patton, Missouri, Christy Price of Kansas City, Missouri and Tony Smeltz of Villa Ridge, Missouri; sisters-Tina Parker of Virginia, Roberta Pyles of North Carolina and Brenda Beach of Kentucky; brothers - Robert "Butch" Porter of Florida and Warren Porter of Indiana; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Tony was a United States Army Veteran serving in the 1958 Korean Conflict. He was a former school bus driver for the Madison County area and later worked for the Keivan Concrete Construction Company in St. Louis. He enjoyed fishing, working jigsaw puzzles, building things and playing poker; he was of the catholic faith. A memorial service may be planned for a later date.
