Roy Romayne Peck, Sr.

Roy R. Peck Sr., of Bismarck, Missouri, passed away on September 7, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 84 years. He was born on October 4, 1941, in Washington County, Missouri, the son of the late Romayne and Edith (Swyers) Peck Maples.

On March 8, 1962, Roy was united in marriage to Loretta “Irene” Fox, who preceded him in death. To this union, three children were born: Roy Peck, Jr. and wife, Sue, of Hoffman, Illinois; Peggy Chunn and husband, Tony, of Bismarck, Missouri; and Jason Peck of Bismarck, Missouri.

Roy leaves behind six grandchildren who will dearly miss their grandpa: Audrey, Dustin, Ryan, Trisha, Payton, and Brayden; thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Roy worked in the construction industry, retiring from Local 916 after 50 years of service. He took great pride in his work and the many years he devoted to his career.

In his free time, Roy loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter, with deer hunting being his favorite. He especially enjoyed hunting with his beloved rabbit dogs. Roy also enjoyed fishing and riding his SXS. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and especially loved making memories with his grandchildren.

Roy will be remembered as a loving father, grandpa, great-grandfather, and friend. His love of the outdoors, his passion for hunting and fishing, and, most of all, his love for his family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mitchell Fox officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Huff Cemetery following the service.
