Ruby Claris Smith

            Ruby Smith, 92, of Desloge, passed away April 11, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1923, in Bunker, to the late Guy H. and Verda (Lewis) Sapaugh. Ruby was a member of the Flat River Church of Christ.

             She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clinton Smith.

             Ruby is survived by her daughter, Susan (Mrs. Buck) Newsome of Springfield; three grandchildren, Amanda Harper, Denver (Season) Counts, Jr., Clinton (Michelle) Ladd; five great-grandchildren, Noah, Amber, Paige, C.J. and Melody; one sister, Gayle Vulner.

             Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, April 15, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the Chapel, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM with John Flickinger officiating. The interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Flat River Church of Christ.
