Mr. Russell Wayne Johnston

Russell Wayne Johnston Sr. of Doe Run, MO passed away January 23, 2012 at his residence at the age of 66 years. He was born April 21, 1945 in East Chicago, Indiana the son of Charles and Clara (Bridgeford) Johnston. On August 13, 2011 he was united in marriage to Eleanor Marie Mayberry who survives. Also surviving are two children; Rusty Johnston Jr. of Charleston, MO, Lucas Johnston of Doe Run, MO, step children; Melissa Luttig of Iron Mountain Lake, MO, Robert Lee of Ironton, MO, Ann Belmore of Potosi, MO, Kenneth Benetti of Doe Run, MO, and Susan Goodrich of Rhode Island. Also surviving is a brother Charles Johnston and a sister, Charlotte, both of Indiana, his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bamgarth, three foster sisters, Sue, Peggy, and Margaret Bamgarth, 14 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by a step-daughter Denise Belmore and an infant grandson, Roger E. Belmore, Jr. Russell served his country in the United States Navy, Army, and National Guard. Funeral services were held on January 28, 2012 from Bryson Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Stevens officiating. Interment was in Cove Cemetery.
