Norma Ruth Adams, 94, of Farmington, embraced her eternal rest on March 3, 2026, just days shy of her 95th birthday. She was born on March 7, 1931, in Desloge, to the late Linn Henry and Bessie Irma (Graham) Hart. Ruth lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments, and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and devotion. A proud homemaker and devoted mother, Ruth found joy in creating a nurturing environment for her family.
Her greatest joys were being a mother to her sons and a fun-loving grandmother. She was passionate about the outdoors, often tending to her beautiful yard, and she delighted in reading, baking, and crafting stunning floral arrangements. Norma was a spirited member of the Baptist faith, finding strength and community in her beliefs.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Adams and wife Jennifer; three grandchildren, Emily Adams and husband Eric Bonin, Sam Adams and Fallon Traylor; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Hart and brother-in-law, Richard Phillips; along with several nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Paul Adams; son, Stephen Adams; siblings, Betty Clinger (Clyde), Gladys Saffo (Joe), Tom Hart (Bermeta), Bill Hart, Margaret Phillips, Marilyn Rawlins (Abe), Edward Hart (Lola) and Addie Simon (Jon).
A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, March 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of memorial service at 11:00 AM. A private inurnment will take place at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorials may be directed in honor of Norma’s memory to the American Heart Association.
Ruth’s light will continue to shine brightly in the memories and stories shared, and she will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered as we celebrate a life well-lived.
