Ruth Anna Douglas

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth Anna Douglas she went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 20, 2025. She was born on Friday, July 16, 1943, to the late Oman Harrison and Mavis Reagan Harrison. Ruth was also preceded in death by her loving husband Wilfred Douglas and son, Alan Douglas.

Ruth was a proud and devoted member of Agape Faith Church, where she was very active and loved working with the youth group. Her faith and compassion touched the lives of many around her.

She could often be found in her yard, working tirelessly to make it a place of beauty and peace. Ruth was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, someone whose love, warmth, and laughter filled every room she entered. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and sewing, and she was known far and wide as a fantastic cook.

As a homemaker, Ruth dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for her family. She cherished every moment with her loved ones, particularly her daughter Darla and son-in-law John Ketcherside. Her pride and joy were her granddaughters, Ashley and Rachel, and her great-grandchildren, Avery, Mallory, Hadley and Brianna, who brought endless laughter and love into her life.

Ruth is also survived by her brother Paul Harrison, sister-in-law Pauline, and sister Darlene Bess, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Ruth’s legacy of faith, love, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her

Visitation will be held at Agape Faith Church in De Soto, MO on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until service time of 12:00 P.M. Pastor Mel and Carol Spreckelmeyer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Adams Hillcrest Cemetery in Bonne Terre.
