Ruth Pinkston

Mrs. Leona Ruth Pinkston passed away Friday morning, May 3, 2013, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Illinois, at the age of 91 years,7 months & 24 days. Ruth was born on September 9, 1921, in Farmington, and was the daughter of Marvin J. Patterson and Cora Mae 'Straughan' Patterson. Also preceding-in-death were: her husband, Shelton Pinkston (June 26, 1985), and 6 brothers: James Patterson; Lynn Patterson; Homer Patterson; Roscoe Patterson; J. Clyde Patterson & Winfred Patterson.

Ruth was a longtime, faithful member of Farmington First Baptist Church, and a member of Clearview Neighbors.

Survivors Include : a daughter, Karen 'Mrs. Mike' Govreau, of Glen Carbon, Illinois. 2 sons: Paul (& Debra) Pinkston, of Farmington, and Irvin (& Alice) Pinkston, of Paris, Illinois. 4 grandchildren: Curt (& Christy) Pinkston; Amanda (& Bill) Simmons; Jason (& Sarah) Govreau, and Ryan Govreau. Also, 6 great-grandchildren: Emma and Drew Pinkston; Layton and Lucas Simmons; Cooper Rose and Cohen Govreau.

Visitation : Monday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes, Tuesday @ 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., May 7, 2013

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.

Interment: Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington, Missouri.
