Ruthie Mosier

Ruth Anne Mosier, affectionately known as Ruthie, 84, of Park Hills, formerly of Leadwood, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at Country Meadows Nursing Facility in Park Hills. Born on March 4, 1941, in Leadwood, she was the cherished daughter of the late Walter and Bernice (Crump) Helms.

Ruthie will be lovingly remembered for her warm and friendly demeanor, which touched the lives of many during her approximately 20 years as a teller at First Bank and Unico Bank. Her smile was a beacon in the community, making every transaction feel special. A devoted Christian, she found joy in her faith and attended the Wortham Church of God with her mother, sharing her faith with family and friends.

Ruthie took great pride in her contributions to the community, being a former charter member of the Missouri Mines Museum Society, where she served as President and Director, as well as a former charter member in the Mineral Area Gem and Mineral Society. Her dedication to these organizations reflected her deep love for the region and its heritage.

Those who knew Ruthie will fondly recall her great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and her signature hugs, which left everyone feeling cherished. A devoted fan of Willie Nelson, she found immense joy in attending his concerts. She also delighted in barbecuing and showering her beloved cats with affection.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Kermit Mosier; brother, Arnold Helms; niece, Carol Delaine; nephew, William “Bill” Helms; and Aunt, Ruby Opaline Brewster.

Ruthie is survived by her great nieces and nephew, which were more like her own children, Lora Barton, Meagan Robinson and Joel Hulsey; several other great-great nieces and nephews; other family members and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the service time of noon. Pastor Alan Berry will be officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington. Memorials may be directed in honor of Ruthie’s memory to The Farmington Pet Adoption Center.

In this time of remembrance, let us honor Ruthie’s legacy by cherishing the moments we shared and by carrying forward her spirit of kindness, humor, and love. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those she loved.
