Sally Morris

Sally Morris, 93, of Leadwood, passed away January 6, 2024, at NHC Healthcare in Desloge. She was born December 31, 1930, in Taft, to the late Claude and Eula (Buffington) Kinsey.

Sally was a faithful member of Leadington Free Will Baptist Church, since 1985. Sally worked as a nurse’s aide for over 20 years. She had a nurturing heart and enjoyed gardening and taking care of everyone in her family, as well as her community. Sally always kept a neat home and loved going to church, singing and reading her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Ralph Morris, Sr.; son, John Morris, Jr.; grandson, Jason Holifield; siblings, John, Henry, Phillip Kinsey and Jeuline Jarvis.

Sally is survived by children, Dianne Holifield, Dennis Morris and Debra Thurston; grandchildren, Tracy (Holifield) Ingram and fiancé Marcus Scott, Joey Thurston, Melissa Holifield; five great-grandchildren, Christian and Dylan Holifield, Faith and Elijah Ingram and Emma Thurston; along with several nieces, nephews and church family.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Bob Thebeau will be officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery in Leadwood. Memorials may be directed to Leadington Freewill Baptist Church.
