Samuel Luther Reed

Samuel Luther Reed of Pilot Knob, Missouri passed away October 6, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 78 years. He was born April 27, 1938 in Waterloo, Illinois the son of the late Luther Thomas and Ressie Jane (Crocker) Reed. On December 13, 1975 he was united in marriage to Gloria Sue Sutton who survives. Also surviving are his sons; Samuel Steven Reed and wife, Susie of Stella, Missouri, Kevin Lee Reed and wife Laura of Arcadia, Missouri, Timothy Mark Reed and wife Pauline of Atlanta, Georgia, and Christopher Scott Rayfield and wife Jennifer of Kansas City, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great grandchildren on the way as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Sam was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Reed and his four sisters; Alma Reichert, Nina McCloud, June Stevens, and Bonnie Reed. Sam was a 1956 graduate of Ironton High School.
